Strawberries should kept in a room temperature for a few
hours. Anthocyanin, which is responsible for the red color of Strawberries, is
heat sensitive. This is the reason strawberries brown in warm temperature.

If you want to store your strawberries, don’t wash your
strawberries before you save them. Only cover the strawberries with the plastic
wrap and should be placed on the coldest part of your refrigerator (not freezer)
for about two days maximum as they lose nutrients quickly.

Only wash strawberries when you ready to consume them. After you
wash the strawberries, place them in a colander and rinse them under running
cold water. Don’t soak them because it can lose their color and flavor.

If you want to frozen strawberries, you should to wash them
gently, let them dry and remove the caps. After that, placed them on a cookie
sheet and freeze. You may keep them in your freezer about six months.
